COVID-19—Conspiracy or Not? Some Thoughts on Bauer and Bobrow

چکیده
I am pleased about the discussion which my review of Kennedy’s book “The Real Anthony Fauci” has stimulated. It is a signature COVID-19 crisis that scientific discourse broken down. There seem to be only two camps, those “believe” in mainstream narrative deadly killer virus with far above average Case Fatality Rates could halted by drastic non-pharmaceutical interventions such as complete lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, mask mandates; for no treatment existed; had spotted early broad coverage PCR-tests even asymptomatic people; emergency use admission rapidly developed, badly tested vaccinations was and thus legally warranted action. And on other side “conspirationists”: who think whole story overblown, manufactured, either China or some secret service, trigger served pharmaceutical industry developing marketing completely new brand preventive pharmaceuticals, m-RNA vector vaccines; and/or issue vaccine passports serve larger purpose having control population China-style system social compliance points allow access privileges travel, holidays, etc.; coup d’états serving abolish our democratic system. This thinking camps obvious public large media, TV print. discourse, where critical voices are sidelined into small outlets penalized retractions. between Bobrow, myself Bauer, Bauer holding middle ground admitting human incompetency most likely factor (which sympathize but won’t discuss further). will means able address all these short commentary. Especially, not get HIV/AIDS-debate, this probably more complicated than debate. But let me pick out few points.

Some Thoughts on a Song or Two
I thought I'd write a song or two, so I tried, and tried again. It seemed like a perfectly natural thing for a young composer to do. Everyone else was doing it, so why couldn't I? But nothing worked, it felt wrong, it sounded bad, awkward, self-conscious, pretentious, even ugly. Was I just incompetent or was it that my musical frame of mind was antithetical to the task. Since I couldn't accept ...

Here an introduction to Wesley’s neomechanics is presented. It is shown to produce some of the same results as Special Relativity but without both the mathematical and philosophical basis of that subject. As with other work in which results associated with General Relativity are obtained without recourse to the fundamental bases of that subject, so here too the preeminent place afforded Special...

Hypercomputation is a relatively new branch of computer science that emerged from the idea that the Church–Turing Thesis, which is supposed to describe what is computable and what is noncomputable, cannot possible be true. Because of its apparent validity, the Church–Turing Thesis has been used to investigate the possible limits of intelligence of any imaginable life form, and, consequently, th...

In the target article (Dar-Nimrod & Heine, 2011), we provided a social–cognitive framework which identified genetic essentialist biases and their implications. In their commentaries, Haslam (2011) and Turkheimer (2011) indicated their general agreement with this framework but highlighted some important points for consideration. Haslam suggested that neuroessentialism is a comparable kind of ess...
متن کاملSome Thoughts on Hyper-links
As already mentioned in many reports, the best hyperlink is the one, you don’t have to follow. Therefore authors of hypertext-documents should make it clear to the reader, what is ”behind” the link. This is not just information about size of the linked content, but also information about the content itself, such as topic, number of incoming links etc. However, unexperienced authors are not awar...
